Al Dar in Bremen

We were there today with family and are absolutely thrilled! The food tastes wonderful, everything is fresh and tasty :) Very nice service and no long waiting time, we'll be back after the lockdown!

I am absolutely disappointed for the fact that they are praised here with Arabic spices, etc. Starter1: Dumplings filled with lamb, tastes like nothing (frozen goods) without the tzatziki, which also tastes like nothing, it would have been even worse. Starter 2: Falafel - just bad. Side dishes salad is OK - nothing special. Second course: Lamb fillet with spinach and fried potatoes. The first time I got spinach that tastes like nothing. Fillet completely unseasoned and “extremely” little. "Fry" potatoes from the hairdresser also tasteless and cold. So ... food is praised with Arabic spices, now I know that apparently there is not even salt there. Ambience nice. Service inattentive. Only get hot sauce after asking 3 times. Instead of Diet Coke - get normal Coke. For people who go out to eat once a year, it's definitely ok.

I had the wonderful pleasure to visit the aldar restaurant in bremen .The food was amazingly delicious the people working there are also very nice and friendly. The place looks like a museum the interior design is amazingly beautiful. I highly recommended this place.

There were four of us at Al Dar on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Two more tables were occupied. A reservation at that time is therefore not necessary. The service was good, but a little slow and unresponsive. The menu is extensive and varied. As a starter we had the Mazza II for two. Super dish. Great quality. But also a proud price (42 €). The main courses were definitely big enough without being overcrowded. The dishes were all very good, probably authentic and well seasoned. Conclusion: all in all a nice experience. For me there is a small deduction because of the service. The price is ok for the quality. Recommendable

Great restaurant, great food! Here I should have given 5 stars, but unfortunately there were still the waitresses. Completely unprofessional, which is not possible in a restaurant in this price category.

The food was really delicious, but the main course came a little too quickly (we had a starter) and then came the slogan 'Yes, you have already ordered the main course' in between someone always came and asked if everything was ok .. When we were ready and cleared away unfortunately no one came for a long time, actually we wanted to order a dessert but well that failed

Very good Syrian food in Überseestadt. Nice selection of oriental specialties. Very good lamb and delicious hummus. The ambience inside is also very nice. 1 star deduction for the ambience outside (everything very gray) and the service, which has often forgotten to reorder drinks or the like. We went to Al-Dar for the first time yesterday to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We have heard only good things from friends and family who were last there a long time ago. Well It seems to have subsided SIGNIFICANTLY. We already had the first bad impression at the entrance, when an absolutely unprofessionally dressed, hectic and unfriendly looking lady greeted us and brought us to the table. While the staff on the whole was dressed quite smartly in uniform work clothes, this lady gave the impression that she had been asked at the door whether she wanted to help out. She seemed to be the manager, other staff would probably have been sent home that way. As a managing director, you should be extremely friendly and interested in the company's success (and thus also in the impression that the guests get). Oh well. Half as wild as long as the rest is right. Hardly at the table, however, there was the next disappointment. The table itself was clean, no stains on the tablecloth or napkins, but there were white crumbs everywhere, even larger chunks of wax (not from our fresh candle) were to be found. So I couldn't even pick up a napkin the whole evening. There weren't any cards, you had to scan a QR code (which didn't work, but I found the menu myself on the homepage) and choose the dishes digitally. We decided on the “trip to Syria” in vegetarian form. The starter was great! Mostly. Some things were so cold that they didn't look fresh at all because they must have been in the refrigerator for a long time. The bread was cold. Two dumplings filled with spinach tasted absolutely fishy, ​​so the vegetarian dishes were apparently fried in the same fat as fish and meat - NO GO !!! The other mezze were, except for the cold, really a dream! During the starter I drained my drink and ordered a new one. The wrong thing happened. It was taken away again (without an apology). The alleged manager (was called by the receptionist with "sweetheart" and was also not in the uniform, but at least dressed with a white shirt) immediately brought me the right drink, but again without apology and even when I said thank you , without answer. The main course came and with it the next disappointment. The taste was absolutely bland, far removed from the taste highlights that were sometimes to be found in the starter. In addition, some tomato slices, including the stalk, were completely on the plate. Not just one that accidentally ended up on the plate. Several each, both on my husband's plate and on mine. The dessert was ok, unfortunately much too sweet, even for the oriental cuisine, otherwise delicious. It was a shame that we had a menu for two and that sometimes there was only a small piece of the pastry on the plate, which meant that not everyone could try something from everything. The overall service was unfortunately not satisfactory either. We found the managing directors to be the most unpleasant, but also the rest of the staff who served us (everyone served us all, we didn't have a permanent waiter) were mostly very curt and put their plates on the table in passing and then immediately disappeared again. Even when my husband had an empty glass in front of him, no one asked if there was anything else. Since the waiter really only put the plates down in passing each time, you had to call for further orders. It's a shame, we will definitely not be back and knowingly spend our next wedding anniversary in a better atmosphere.

The food was delicious and the service very accommodating. One glass was a bit dirty and it was exchanged immediately. The wrong food was brought to the next table and it was also exchanged without hesitation. Very pleasant atmosphere. The quality of the food was excellent. An absolute recommendation. We would love to come back.

Mega delicious, friendly service, appealing ambience, we were surprised how big this restaurant is! There is also gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food. However, the offer is heavily lamb-heavy. A little more vegetarian dishes would be nice.

A bit expensive, but the 'trip to Syria' (that's the name of one of the three-course meals) is worth it. The starter (mazza) was very varied and tasty, the main course was great and the dessert could have been a little more, but it was still very delicious. Clear recommendation!

The food is really good, but your service staff is the reason why you don't feel comfortable with you, but a change is really necessary here - and no wishes from the guest are met. For me a variation of starter was strictly denied - only from 2 people ... you can't allow yourself that nowadays hosts! There shouldn't be a no! Especially not in the high price range of a restaurant.

My first visit, always wanted to eat there, it was like 1001 nights. The place authentic, the staff super friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere very pleasant, the food was a dream. Now I will go there more often. A must for everyone who is looking for oriental cuisine, five stars, unfortunately not more

We had a very nice evening! The staff is very attentive and quick. We took the 3-course menu to try everything completely. Price definitely higher up! Food came incredibly fast and it was very tasty!

A large restaurant with lots of tables. We were visiting on a Saturday. The restaurant was very well staffed. The noise level is correspondingly high. Reservation at peak times is necessary. The food was just delicious. The service is nice and very attentive. Would love to come back.

A great restaurant. The food is just delicious, no, it stimulates taste buds that are not asked to dance in every restaurant ... The meat dishes in particular surpass everything. We recommend. The ambience is very nice too. For car fans, there is one right next to the shed ... you can combine everything. You can admire something great and then go out for a lovely meal.

Super authentic restaurant right on the river. The food tastes delicious. You can eat outside in the summer. There is a wide selection of different dishes from the Middle East. The service is very nice. The decor and the music are authentic, including the toilets. A little more expensive than other restaurants but worth it.

Interesting restaurant in interesting surroundings The inconspicuous restaurant is located in a shed in the harbor area. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you get a great smell from the kitchen. The wonderful smell was also confirmed in the food, which was served quickly by a friendly waiter.

The restaurant serves some very delicious food and has a nice ambience. I would recommend lamb dishes specially.. The place is ideal for big and small groups.. The staff are polite and service is excellent.. Only downfall is the connectivity to public transport( not so frequent connections) ..

Very good restaurant. The food is very good, they have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. They even brought us GF bread. It is a little bit more expensive and the food took a little longer to come (the restaurant was quite full) but in general it was very good.

We got the set menu 'Reise durch Syrien' and it was absolutely fantastic. The flavours were great and it was definitely a large selection of different things to try. It's a lot of food so make sure to go there hungry! The staff are very attentive even though they were run off their feet (the place was packed, so make sure to book ahead). They have definitely paid attention to the decor and it is a great place to go to feel special on a date or special occasion. It is not cheap, but worth it for the standard and quantity of food, and great service.
